TOO MUCH NEWS!

So, there has been a lot of news stories in the past 2 weeks. It's hard to know where to begin. I'll just dive in. I am pleased to present my video happy post!

Michael Vick entered a guilty plea after agreeing to a plea bargain with federal prosecutors. He funded a dog fighting ring out of his Virginia estate. He is now a convicted felon and will be sentenced on December 10th. He faces up to 5 years in prison.

Senator Larry Craig (R-Idaho) was arrested in an airport bathroom after allegedly soliciting an undercover police office for sex. Craig plead guilty to lewd conduct and was fined. He is now fighting the charges. He resigned his Senate seat after intense pressure from GOP colleagues.

Alberto Gonzales has resigned his post of Attorney General. He had been under fire from both Democrats and Republicans over the firings of 8 US prosecutors for apparent political reasons.

The parents of Madeleine McCann, the little girl from the UK who went missing on a family vacation Portugal, have officially been named as suspects in their daughter's disappearance. The parents, who have been on a mission to find their daughter have been interrogated by investigators as evidence is mounting against them. The couple and their 2 other children recently returned to the UK for the first time since Madeleine's mysterious disappearance.

Legendary tenor Luciano Pavarotti passed away this week at the age of 71 after battling cancer.

Actor and former Senator Fred Thompson officially entered the race for the Republican nomination for the presidency. He made his announcement on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

A new study says that 2/3 of polar bears will be dead by the year 2050 due to the melting ice caps.

Days before the 6th anniversary of September 11, 2001, Osama bin Laden has released a new video tape.

My opinion: Michael Vick should go to jail for a long time.
-I'm a little confused about Larry Craig, I think Larry Craig is also a little confused about Larry Craig.
-Alberto is gone. Too bad President Bush is still here!
-Despite the DNA evidence, I cannot bring myself to believe that the McCanns would remain so public if they were the ones responsible for their daughter's apparent death. It just doesn't make sense to me.
-The world has lost one of the great musicians in the world; Heaven has gained a new tenor in the choir.
-I don't understand why people are swooning over Fred Thompson. Everyone is calling him the next Reagan. I didn't think Reagan was the great, then again I was only an infant when he was President.
-Can we put swimmies on the polar bears so they don't drown? How about inner tubes? How about reducing green house gas emissions? One of these things will not lead to us being mauled to death by bears. Guess which one!
-It has been 6 years since the murders of 3,000 Americans. Their killer is still on the loose. Where is the justice we were promised Mr. Bush? I'm willing to bet its not in Iraq.
